Privacy Statement

Columbia Bands, Inc. (columbiabands.org) is committed to safeguarding your privacy online, and this page explains how your personal information will be treated as you make full use of this website. The Columbia Bands website is owned and operated by Columbia Bands, Inc. and is hosted under contract by NetFirms, Inc. (netfirms.com).

Voluntary Submission

Columbia Bands, Inc. does not collect personally identifying information about any Columbia Bands website user except when knowingly provided by such individual. For example, we may ask you for your e-mail address and name when you register to receive a newsletter, but you always have the option to keep your information private. If you choose not to provide the information we request, you can still visit the Columbia Bands website.

Cookies

A cookie is a data file that certain websites write to your computer's hard drive when you visit their sites. A cookie file can contain information, such as a user identification code, that the site uses to track the pages you have visited. Columbia Bands uses cookies solely to track user traffic patterns throughout our website. We use this data on an anonymous basis and we do not correlate this information with personal data of any user.

Most website browsers automatically accept cookies, but you can usually change your browser settings to display a warning before accepting a cookie, or to refuse all cookies. However, if you choose to disable the receipt of cookies from our website, you may not be able to use certain features of the site.

Browser Level Information

NetFirms’ host web servers automatically collect non-personal information about a site user's IP address, browser type and referrer by reading this information from the user's browser. This information is collected in a database and used—in an aggregated, anonymous manner—in our internal analysis of traffic patterns within our website. This information is automatically logged.

Use of Information

Our primary goal in collecting non-personal user information is to enhance your experience on our website. We achieve this goal by, among other things, sending interactive communications such as our electronic newsletters and concert reminders to the e-mail address that you provide to us. We do not track what individual users read.

E-mail

Columbia Bands, Inc. respects the privacy of its readers and shall not disclose, distribute, or rent its e-mail subscriber newsletter list to any third party, nor shall it permit anyone else to do so.

Changes to this Statement

Columbia Bands, Inc. will occasionally update this Privacy Statement to reflect member and public feedback. We encourage you to periodically review this document to be informed of how we are protecting your information.
