Welcome!

Columbia Bands, Inc. is a community-focused performance organization comprised of three different ensembles: the Columbia Concert Band, Flute Cocktail, and the Columbia Big Band. Here's what's happening in our little corner of Maryland:

CBI's Flute Cocktail has just released their latest virtual performance! Catch Beyond the Black Stump, composed by Jonathan Cohen and directed by Dr. Linda Kirkpatrick.

Keep watching this space or your favorite CBI social media for upcoming virtual performances from the other CBI ensembles.

The Columbia Concert Band plays A Very Merry Heart and Soul, arranged by Julie Giroux, on YouTube.

A handful of Columbia Concert Band members continue to perform as part of the worldwide Virtual Concert Band.

As with most other musicians around the world, the CBI ensembles are feeling the sting of not being able to rehearse together or to bring you the excellent performances you've come to expect from us. While we follow the necessities of physical distancing and wearing masks, we know this is only temporary and we're looking forward to returning to local stages when it's safe to do so.

In the meantime, the Columbia Concert Band, Flute Cocktail, and the Columbia Big Band wish everyone good health, both physical and emotional. We look forward to performing for you and celebrating with you face-to-face when this is all over!

Donating to Columbia Bands will help us to continue providing great performances, and will support the arts as a whole. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit entity, which means your donation is tax-deductible. Receipts are available upon request.
